This is a simple example of this function, which returns the name of which PostreSQL Database you are currently connected to.

pg_host() は、指定した PostgreSQL
connection リソースが接続しているホストの
名前を返します。
パラメータ

connection -
PostgreSQL データベース接続リソース。
connectionが指定されていない場合はデフォルトの接続が使用されます。 デフォルトの接続は、直近の pg_connect() あるいは pg_pconnect() によって作成されたものです。
返り値
connection が接続しているホストの名前を
文字列で返します。エラー時には false を返します。
