oci_set_client_info — Sets the client information
Descrição

, string $client_info
) : boolSets the client information for Oracle tracing.
The client information is registered with the database when the next 'round-trip' from PHP to the database occurs, typically when an SQL statement is executed.
The client information can subsequently be queried from database
administration views such as V$SESSION.
The value may be retained across persistent connections.

Nota: Versão Oracle mínima
Esta função somente está disponível no PHP linkado com Oracle a partir da versão 10g em diante.
Performance
Com versões anteriores do
OCI8 ou do Oracle Database, as informações do cliente podem ser configurados utilizando o pacote Oracle
DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO. Isto é menos eficiente que
utilizar oci_set_client_info().
Roundtrip Gotcha
Algumas funções OCI8 causam roundtrips. Roundtrips para o banco podem não ocorrer quando cache de resultados está ativado.
