(I tried to enter a bug but the PHP version selection drop down isn't working so I have entered here)
This documentation is very confusing as it refers to xml2-config as a directory and file interchangeably (it is a file) ...so I'm not clear whether to use the containing directory or the actual file in the switch
Instalación
La extensión libxml está habilitada por defecto, aún asi es posible deshabilitarla con la directiva --disable-libxml.
La directiva --with-libxml-dir
opcional es utilizada para especificar la ubicación de libxml
dentro del sistema en el que PHP está siendo compilado, de lo contrario solo
las ubicaciones por defecto son escaneadas. El proceso configure
chequea por libxml (específicamente, xml2-config) en el siguiente orden:

La ubicación ([DIR]) especificada con --with-libxml-dir ([DIR]=/bin/xml2-config)
-
/usr/local/bin/xml2-config
-
/usr/bin/xml2-config
Si configure no puede encontrar xml2-config en el
directorio especificado por --with-libxml-dir,
entonces continuará y comprobará las ubicaciones por defecto.
