    Installation

    ctype support can be disabled with --disable-ctype.

    The Windows version of PHP has built-in support for this extension. You do not need to load any additional extensions in order to use these functions.

    On FreeBSD, this library is NOT included automatically. It must be manually installed. This can be done with the following command:

    pkg install php70-ctype
    up
    -64
    sparc at fastmail dot fm

    Or pkg install php56-ctype if you have PHP 5.6 in FreeBSD
